        "content": "<p>Tangerang Regency (ANTARA) - A group of students and university\nstudents from Tangerang Regency, Banten, have launched a technological\ninnovation for nutritional safety called Si Amanzi, based on artificial\nintelligence (AI), to support the implementation of the Free Nutritious\nMeals (MBG) Programme. These nutritional safety detection devices were\nshowcased at the Tangerang Regency-level Appropriate Technology\nCompetition organised by the local government on Wednesday. Member of\nthe Mauk Subdistrict Technology Service Post Research Team, Alwan\nAzriel, stated that this innovation emerged in response to the\nwidespread cases of mass poisoning in the implementation of the MBG\nProgramme. \u201cTherefore, our device focuses on assisting the government\u2019s\nMBG-related programme,\u201d said Alwan. He explained that the development of\nthe Si Amanzi system utilises popular AI technology from several\ndevelopers in Indonesia. The research process lasted around four months,\nencompassing scientific journal studies, field observations, and\ninterviews with MBG recipients and teachers. \u201cThe device operates\nthrough an integrated series of inspection stages using a conveyor. The\nfirst stage begins with sterilising the meal containers or MBG trays\nusing ultraviolet (UV) light,\u201d he explained. After that, the meal trays\nwill be filled with food, and the suitability and nutritional content of\nthe menu will be automatically analysed by an AI-enabled camera that can\nread the food\u2019s condition, calories, and nutritional value. \u201cIn\naddition, we have equipped it with odour and humidity sensors. The odour\nsensor detects ammonia and methane substances; if those substances are\npresent in the food, it means it\u2019s unfit,\u201d he elaborated. He said that\nafter the entire inspection process is complete, the machine will print\na barcode sticker from the technology containing the nutritional safety\ntest results, which will then be affixed to each MBG tray.\n\u201cRealistically, it\u2019s 70 per cent accurate, but at least it can minimise\nthe risk of poisoning from unfit food,\u201d he added. Meanwhile, the\nSecretary of Tangerang Regency, Soma Atmaja, assessed that this\nappropriate technology competition serves as a strategic space for the\ncommunity to produce innovations in various fields. \u201cInnovations emerge\nfrom events like this because we can see technological innovations in\nagriculture, renewable energy, and also efficient technology in the\nseptic tank sector,\u201d he said. He hopes that the technologies being\ncompeted can be mass-produced and directly utilised by the community in\ndaily life. \u201cIt\u2019s just a matter of scaling it up, whether we can create\nthis technology on a mass scale; of course, there needs to be support\nfrom other parties like large companies as investors,\u201d he stated.<\/p>",
