        "content": "<p>Tangerang moves to boost investment<\/p>\n<p>TANGERANG (JP): The one-stop service offered by Tangerang<br>\nmayoralty to prospective investors has paid off, with an average<br>\none new applicant coming in seeking a permit every day since the<br>\nservice was inaugurated in February.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the mayoralty's investment and permit-processing<br>\nagency Habibah Ardi said on Monday that of the 60 applications<br>\nreceived by her office, 22 had been approved and four rejected.<\/p>\n<p>Habibah said the new system simplified the previously long and<br>\nconvoluted procedure for approving an investment and, therefore,<br>\nprovided applicants with certainty in a relatively short space of<br>\ntime.<\/p>\n<p>\"We need more investors in a bid to create jobs and increase<br>\nthe city's revenue. In the long run, it will improve the people's<br>\nwelfare,\" she said.<\/p>\n<p>She added that each application was examined at a consultation<br>\nmeeting, which was held by her office twice a week.
