Tangerang Mayor Sachrudin stated that the water level of the Cisadane\nRiver has been observed to decrease by approximately 40 centimetres from\nnormal levels following a direct inspection.<\/p>\n
The inspection involved traversing the flow of the Cisadane River to\nmonitor the condition and availability of raw water, which serves as one\nof the primary sources for clean water processing for the residents of\nTangerang City.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis decrease in water debit needs to be anticipated to ensure that\nthe process of treating and distributing clean water to the community\ncontinues to run smoothly,\u201d said Mayor Sachruderm following the\ninspection of the Cisadane River alongside officials from PDAM Tirta\nBenteng and the Tangerang City Public Works Department on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Sachrudin emphasised that the Tangerang City Government, together\nwith PDAM Tirta Benteng, continues to conduct monitoring and technical\nsteps to maintain the availability of raw water and ensure that clean\nwater services remain optimal.<\/p>\n
He also urged the public to help maintain water availability by using\nit wisely and avoiding excess. According to him, maintaining water\navailability is not only the responsibility of the government but\nrequires the concern of the entire community.<\/p>\n
\u201cClean water is our shared need. Therefore, let us use water\nsufficiently and as economically as possible. At the same time, we must\nalso protect the Cisadane River, not to dispose of rubbish\nindiscriminately, and to care for the environment along the riverbanks,\u201d\nhe messaged.<\/p>\n
Sachrudin added that the Cisadane River plays a vital role in the\nlives of the people of Tangerang City, and therefore its sustainability\nmust be maintained together. The government will continue to take\nanticipatory measures, but such efforts need to be supported by public\nawareness in using and protecting water resources.<\/p>\n
