This mapping is intended to ensure that measures to address the\nimpacts of the dry season can be implemented more swiftly and\naccurately.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Tangerang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD)\nMahdiar explained that the first zone, which is the primary focus of\npreparedness, includes the districts of Batuceper, Neglasari, and\nCipondoh. The second zone covers the districts of Jatiuwung and Cibodas,\nwhile the third zone includes the districts of Pinang, Ciledug, and\nKarang Tengah.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese designated zones are a priority for regular monitoring, both\nin terms of water availability and fire potential,\u201d Mahdiar stated in an\nofficial release in Tangerang on Wednesday (5\/8).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to tightening area surveillance, the city government has\nprepared a series of cross-sector mitigation strategies. The Indonesian\nNational Armed Forces (TNI) has readied eight water tanker trucks for\ndistribution to residential areas should a water crisis occur. The\nTangerang Metro Police have deployed 95 personnel at the precinct level\nand prepared an Armoured Water Cannon (AWC) to support firefighting\nefforts.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding water supply services, the regional water utility company\nPerumda Tirta Benteng has assured that the availability of clean water\nfor customers remains secure. Although the water source relying on the\nCisadane River has experienced a roughly five percent decrease in flow\ndue to the dry season, the quality and supply are confirmed to be\nsufficient.<\/p>\n<p>To strengthen supporting infrastructure, the Tangerang City Public\nWorks and Spatial Planning Agency (PUPR) has prepared 30 water tanks for\nclean water distribution and emergency fire response. \u201cAdditionally, the\nhydrant network in various areas is continuously being checked to ensure\nit functions optimally to support the protection of residential areas\nand public facilities,\u201d Mahdiar added.<\/p>\n<p>These tactical measures were taken in response to an analysis by the\nMeteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), which predicts\nthat Tangerang City will remain at the peak of the dry season with low\nrainfall intensity until September 2026. \u201cThe still-active El Ni\u00f1o\nphenomenon further increases the potential for meteorological drought in\nseveral areas, so vigilance is required from all elements of society,\u201d\nhe concluded.<\/p>",
