A significant increase in visitor numbers is expected in\nearly March, from approximately 4 March through to the eve of Eid\nal-Fitr, said Tanah Abang Block A Market Manager Hery Supriyatna when\ncontacted in Jakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Hery forecast that visitor numbers from March through to the approach\nof Eid could exceed 30,000 people.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on last year, he said, the increase in visits to Block A\nTanah Abang began two weeks before Eid al-Fitr. At that time, the\naverage daily footfall reached 40,000 to 45,000 people.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the recent visit by Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno,\nHery said the purpose was to maximise services in anticipation of the\nvisitor surge.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Rano also ensured that both visitors and traders could\nfeel comfortable and that there would be no illegal parking in the\narea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no room for illegal parking because the Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment is committed to eradicating and bringing order to all illegal\nparking,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
