Tambang Timah's estate<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): State-owned tin mining company PT Tambang Timah
\nplans to build an industrial estate in Bangka, South Sumatra, to
\nfurther diversify its businesses.<\/p>\n
Erry Riyana Hardjapamekas, the president of Tambang Timah,
\nsaid yesterday the industrial estate project, to be built on a
\n1,500-hectare plot of a land in Belinyu, would acomodate a wide
\nrange of industries, including steel and fisheries.<\/p>\n
The estate would jointly be owned by the company and the
\nprovincial and local administrations, Erry said after a meeting
\nwith Governor Ramli Hasan Basri in Palembang, South Sumatra.<\/p>\n
He said the project would involve investors from Spain but he
\ndi not give further details.<\/p>\n
Tambang Timah, which is listed on the domestic and London
\nstock exchanges, operates tin mines on Bangka, Belitung, Karimun,
\nand Kundur islands near southern Sumatra. (02)<\/p>",
