        "content": "<p>Talks on victims' release to resume<\/p>\n<p>SULTAN KUDARAT, Philippines (AFP): Talks to free seven South<br>\nKoreans held by Moslem rebels in the southern Philippines will<br>\nresume Friday, negotiators said yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Norodin Matalam, co-chairman of the negotiating panel<br>\nsaid he had met with Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chief<br>\nAl Hadji Murad at an undisclosed place late Tuesday to seek the<br>\nrelease of the Shinsung Construction Corp. workers.<\/p>\n<p>The MILF, a breakaway faction of the Moro National Liberation<br>\nFront (MNLF) which is now holding autonomy talks with the<br>\ngovernment, has claimed responsibility for Saturday's kidnapping<br>\nand demanded that military units pull out from the area, where<br>\nShinsung is building an irrigation dam.<\/p>\n<p>Talks for the release of the Koreans broke down on Monday<br>\nafter the military refused to give in to demands of the rebels<br>\nthat they be hired as security forces for Shinsung.<\/p>",
