Tailors and maid named suspects in violent rape<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): South Jakarta Police detectives have arrested
\ntwo tailors and a cleaner over the violent rape and murder of a
\n24-year-old woman on Tuesday last week at her rented room in
\nSetiabudi, an officer said on Friday.<\/p>\n
South Jakarta Police chief Lt. Col. Edward Aritonang
\nidentified the suspects as tailors Sutarman, 34, and Rusdiyanto,
\n28, who work for a nearby ready-made garment factory, and Dadang
\nHidayat, 18, a cleaning service boy at the boarding house, called
\nWisma Kos Super Ambassador, a two-story building which rents out
\n54 luxurious rooms.<\/p>\n
\"We got hold of these three men at about 3 a.m. on Thursday.
\nWe located them via the victim's cell phone, stolen from the
\nvictim's room and sold to two men,\" Aritonang told reporters.<\/p>\n
\"We called the cell phone, and got hold of the men who bought
\nit. Both pointed at Dadang as having sold the phone to them.<\/p>\n
After Dadang, we got Sutarman and Rusdiyanto, who is a
\nfather,\" Edward said.<\/p>\n
The victim, Daisy Mustiko, was found dead in a pool of blood
\non the floor of her rented room on Jl. Pedurenan Mesjid.<\/p>\n
At the time of the incident, all of the rooms at the building,
\nowned by local resident Budiman Ali, were full.<\/p>\n
According to Edward, his men were still looking for a hammer
\nbelieved to have been used by the suspects to fatally injure
\nDaisy on the back of her head.<\/p>\n
The key to the victim's room is still missing.<\/p>\n
From the victims, the police confiscated the Nokia 5110
\ncell phone, and a tape recorder, which the suspects bought from
\nthe money they got after selling the cell phone, as evidence.<\/p>\n
Shortly after the incident, police also found a pair of
\nslippers, the victim's bloodied top and shorts, a bloodied sheet
\nand a water hose at the crime scene.<\/p>\n
Dadang told reporters that a day before the incident, the
\nthree of them watched a pornographic movie which showed some
\nviolent sexual acts.<\/p>\n
The next morning, Sutarman told Dadang that he found Monique,
\nDaisy's friend, pretty, and Dadang told Sutarman and Rusdiyanto
\nthat he had no problem getting into Daisy's room, Dadang said.<\/p>\n
\"We saw Daisy parking her white Suzuki Katana vehicle ... and
\nwe were sure that her boyfriend (Aron Kusnadi) was not around.
\nWith a water hose and a hammer in hand, I brought Sutarman and
\nRusdiyanto up with me to her room.<\/p>\n
I knocked the door,\" Dadang recalled.<\/p>\n
Daisy opened the door, he said, and he told her that he wanted
\nto fix the wash basin in her bathroom.<\/p>\n
The lights were on in her room.<\/p>\n
While heading toward the bathroom, he suddenly turned and
\ngrabbed her legs, while one of the other men grabbed and covered
\nher mouth.<\/p>\n
\"She fought us really hard. She was scratching ... so I hit
\nher mouth with a hammer. She fell. I forced her panties off
\nher ... I was the first to rape her, then (Su)Tarman, then
\nRus(diyanto).\"<\/p>\n
When Sutarman and Rusdiyanto raped her, Daisy was trying to
\nfight them off, as evident from scratch marks found on the torsos
\nof Sutarman and Rusdiyanto, and a deep scratch on Rusdiyanto's
\nneck.<\/p>\n
During the rape, someone knocked on the door, evidently
\nsensing something was wrong, Dadang said.<\/p>\n
\"So, I switched off the lights,\" he said.<\/p>\n
After the rape, Rusdiyanto grabbed her hair and bashed her
\nhead on the floor several times. (ylt)<\/p>",
