        "content": "<p>Tae kwon doins urged to improve for Asiad<\/p>\n<p>Musthofid, The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian Tae Kwon Do Association (TI) has given four of its<br>\nAsian Games nominees a second chance to enhance their performance<br>\nbefore they are deemed whether or not eligible for the Korean<br>\ntrip.<\/p>\n<p>TI has eight athletes candidates now in preparations for the<br>\nAsian Games, which will be staged in Busan, South Korea, from<br>\nSept. 29 until Oct. 14.<\/p>\n<p>Given their latest record of performance in the May's Jordan<br>\ntournament, four look set to secure their places in the team<br>\nwhile the other four have yet to show their best when the 16-<br>\nstrong Indonesian team takes part in Chung Cheong Festival in<br>\nSouth Korea, scheduled for June 15 - July 5.<\/p>\n<p>\"We give the foursome another chance in Korea,\" Adrian Lumowa,<br>\nTI's secretary general, said in a meeting with officials of the<br>\nNational Sports Council (KONI) here on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The four athletes are Derry Darmansyah (bantamweight), Basuki<br>\nNugroho (welterweight), Rosandi (middleweight) and female fellow<br>\nOnyas Nurmala (lightweight).<\/p>\n<p>\"We are keen to see they bounce from what they got in Jordan,\"<br>\nAdrian said. The athletes could only reach the quarterfinals<br>\nround in Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>The other group of four, whose Jordan run appeared to live up<br>\nto expectation, are Ika Dian Putri (finweight), Juana Wangsa<br>\nPutri (flyweight), Emerald Margaret (middleweight) and male<br>\nfellow Satrio Rahardani (flyweight).<\/p>\n<p>Another eight, young athletes have also been included in the<br>\nteam for the Korean tryout with TI pinning long-term hopes on<br>\nthem that they will be able to spark fire at the 2003 Southeast<br>\nAsian (SEA) Games in Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>Adrian said that the association would not have a fixed lineup<br>\nof athletes for the Asian Games until after the team members<br>\nwound up their last warmup matches at the National LG Cup<br>\ntournament in July.<\/p>\n<p>\"We will see and decide which of them has come up to our<br>\nvision that only those with medal prospect should go to Korea,\"<br>\nhe said.<\/p>",
