        "content": "<p>The Tabanan Regency Government is encouraging managers of several\nbeach destinations in the Tabanan coastal area to continue their\ndevelopment efforts. One method proposed is the organisation of\nfestivals as an effort to promote these sites and attract more\ntourists.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Regent of Tabanan, I Made Dirga, stated that several\ncoastal areas, such as Pasut Beach, Yeh Gangga Beach, Kelating Beach,\nand Soka Beach, possess panoramas that are just as attractive as more\nestablished tourist destinations. He noted that festivals at these\ndestinations do not necessarily need to be lavish.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt does not need to be luxurious; the important thing is to be able\nto present something different and new,\u201d said Dirga on Tuesday\n(1\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Dirga believes that the potential for coastal tourism in Tabanan can\nstill be further developed. He acknowledged that several of these\ndestinations are not yet as popular as the Tanah Lot Tourist\nDestination, thus requiring stronger promotional strategies.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dirga, organising festivals will act as a specific\nmagnet for tourists. These festivals also serve as a space to showcase\nlocal arts and cultural potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis serves as a form of promotion. The government often emphasises\nthat even if a place is already known, promotions such as festivals\nremain a special magnet for visitors,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Dirga continued, festivals also serve as a platform for\nartists and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Taban and to\nintroduce their products and regional potential. \u201cIn this way, tourism\npotential does not only rely on already popular destinations, but also\nopens opportunities for other coastal areas to become more widely known\nto tourists,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Dirga hopes that strengthening existing festivals can become part of\nTabanan\u2019s broader strategy for tourism development. He cited the recent\nTanah Lot Art and Food Festival, which received high enthusiasm from the\npublic, recording approximately 10,000 visitors over the three-day\nevent.<\/p>",
