        "content": "<p>The Tabanan Regency Government (Pemkab Tabanan) will begin\nimplementing sanctions for waste management violators starting on\nWednesday (13\/5\/2026). The sanctions range from verbal reprimands and\nwritten warnings to minor criminal offences (tipiring).<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Task Force for Accelerating Waste Management, I Gede\nSusila, stated that sanctions will be applied to residents who continue\nto litter indiscriminately or fail to follow waste management protocols.\nThe implementation of sanctions will occur alongside ongoing community\neducation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile proceeding, we will continue to provide education, but if\nviolations are found, sanctions will certainly be imposed,\u201d said the\nSecretary of the Tabanan Regional Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to residents, sanctions will also target business\noperators, including hotels, restaurants, and cafes. For businesses that\ndo not adhere to waste management regulations, administrative sanctions\nmay impact their permitting processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the task force, through the Civil Service Police Unit, will\nrecord various forms of violations that occur. Of course, prioritising\neducation and guidance before verbal sanctions, so as not to reach\ntipiring sanctions,\u201d Susila explained.<\/p>\n<p>Besides administrative and tipiring sanctions, the local government\nis also promoting social sanctions through traditional village bylaws or\nvillage regulations.
