Jakarta, VIVA \u2013 The Head of the Indonesian Government Communication\nAgency (Bakom), Syahganda Nainggolan, has immediately addressed the\ndirection of Palace communications following his appointment by\nPresident Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>\n
As the Head of Bakom RI, succeeding Muhammad Qodari, Syahganda\nemphasised the importance of effective communication in conveying the\nPresident\u2019s vision. He affirmed his commitment to continuing existing\nPalace communication programmes while strengthening the narrative of the\nPresident\u2019s ideas to the public.<\/p>\n
One aspect receiving serious attention from the Head of Bakom is the\nissue of algorithms and Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will study the matter of algorithms. Because, according to Yuval\nNoah Hararm, the greatest challenge in communication involves\nalgorithms, AI, and so on. We will delve into that area,\u201d Syahganda\nstated after officially assuming his role as Head of Bakom.<\/p>\n
As an initial strategy, the Head of Bakom intends to form a special\ntask force. \u201cWe may develop a special team to study how algorithms can\ndamage or create a gap between the President\u2019s thoughts and the public,\u201d\nhe explained.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the primary idea proposed by the Chairman of the Great\nInstitute is how to navigate the \u2018war of narratives\u2019 in the current era\nof disruption. He also referenced his book, Sapiens<\/em>, regarding\nthe crucial role of communication and narrative in the development of\ncivilisation.<\/p>\n Additionally, Syahganda expressed his desire to collaborate with the\nmedia to ensure government messages are effectively conveyed to the\npublic, and that public feedback is relayed back to the government.<\/p>\n \u201cCivilisation is being built by President Prabowo, who is ensuring\nthe presence of the state, sovereignty, and the welfare of the people,\u201d\nSyahganda explained.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the future, our battle will be a battle of narratives controlled\nby non-humans. These non-humans are known as Artificial Intelligence\n(AI),\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n According to him, the President\u2019s ideas have often been distorted by\nthe forces of digital automation. Therefore, he aims to combine the\nresources of Bakom with currently developing technologies.<\/p>",
