        "content": "<p>Minister for State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi stated that Deputy\nSpeaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad,\ncontacted President Prabowo Subianto on the evening of Monday, 27 April\n2026, after personally inspecting the site of the KRL Commuter Line and\nArgo Bromo Anggrek train accident at Bekasi Timur Station in Bekasi\nCity, West Java.<\/p>\n<p>Via telephone, Dasco directly informed the President about the\nsituation of the victims and aspirations regarding the construction of\nflyover bridges at railway crossings and guard posts, as well as the\ninadequate state of railway facilities, such as the scarcity of crossing\ngates.<\/p>\n<p>Dasco also conveyed long-term solutions by proposing the acceleration\nof the Bulak Kapal flyover project in Bekasi, which had previously been\nstalled due to budget constraints. It is reported that Dasco raised this\nmatter and received approval from President Prabowo.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pras, Dasco immediately relayed the aspirations received\nby the DPR RI leadership to the President. Consequently, the President\nresponded swiftly by visiting the train accident victims at Bekasi City\nGeneral Hospital, and the government promptly prepared a Rp4 trillion\nbudget to repair 1,800 railway crossings on Java Island.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Mr Dasco, directly contacted the\nPresident on the night of the train accident incident in Bekasi. From\nthat communication, the President immediately visited the victims and\nprepared a budget for improving railway facilities,\u201d said Pras in his\nstatement on Thursday, 30 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Pras added that President Prabowo had given direct instructions for\nthe train accident victims in Bekasi to receive maximum care.\nFurthermore, President Prabowo highlighted aspects of technology and the\ncondition of railway facilities, considering anticipatory measures to\nensure such incidents do not recur.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the government confirmed that the flyover bridge\nconstruction project at railway crossings would be funded from the State\nRevenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are about 1,800 such crossing points, I believe since the\nDutch era, and I have ordered them all to be repaired immediately,\u201d said\nPrabowo at Bekasi City General Hospital on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Prabowo explained that the government is preparing comprehensive\nimprovement measures, including options for additional guards or other\nsecurity systems at every vulnerable point.
