Sweeping classified as terrorism?<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: All movements or actions that incite unrest and chaos
\namong the people and thereby damage the country's image can be
\ncategorized as terrorism, head of State Intelligence Body (BIN)
\nA.M. Hendropriyono said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the sidelines of the opening of the PDI Perjuangan
\nleadership meeting at Hotel Borobudur in Central Jakarta,
\nHendropriyono asserted that the plan of certain Muslim groups to
\nsearch for and expel Americans and citizens from allied countries
\nwas against the law.<\/p>\n
"Such actions are irresponsible. They (the radical Muslim
\ngroups) are not the official law enforcers. Sweeping is a police
\nduty," he said as quoted by Metro TV.<\/p>\n
"Now we have to deal with terrorism and we have to stop it.
\nAnarchy is a form of terrorism and therefore any action that
\nincites hysteria among the people, triggers chaos and thereby
\ntarnishing the country's image can be categorized as (a form of)
\nterrorism," the retired three-star general said.<\/p>\n
U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia Robert S. Gelbard has strongly
\ncriticized the police for failing to stop radical Muslim groups
\nwhich threaten to hunt down Americans. -- JP<\/p>",
