PT Suzuki Indom\uff0eSales (SIS) introduced the Suzuki Fronx SGX Hybrid\nKuro at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 at\nICE BSD City, Tangerang, on Saturday (1\/8\/2026). This new variant serves\nas the top-tier model within the Fronx lineup marketed in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Donny Saputra, Deputy Managing Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales,\nstated that the arrival of the Fronx SGX Hybrid Kuro is a response to\nthe high market interest in the Fronx since its launch in 2025. This\nlatest variant also offers additional safety features compared to\nprevious models.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough the Fronx SGX Hybrid Kuro, we want to complete the choices\nfor consumers who desire a sportier SUV Coupe while also obtaining more\ncomprehensive safety technology,\u201d said Donny.<\/p>\n
The name \u2018Kuro\u2019, which means black in Japanese, is reflected in the\nexterior refresh through the use of a New Black Front Grille Garnish.\nThis accent emphasises the vehicle\u2019s front appearance with a more\nmasculine nuance compared to previous variants.<\/p>\n
Suzuki has also added a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) as standard\nequipment. This device is capable of recording conditions in front of\nthe vehicle in real-time, with recordings accessible via a smartphone\napplication.<\/p>\n
In terms of dimensions, the Fronx SGX Hybrid Kuro has a length of\n3,995 mm, a width of 1,765 mm, a height of 1,550 mm, and a wheelbase of\n2,520 mm. The car features 16-inch black alloy wheels, LED headlights\nand taillights, and a turning radius of 4.8 metres to support\nmanoeuvrability in tight areas.<\/p>\n
Inside the cabin, Suzuki maintains a black and burgundy theme.\nVarious comfort features are included, such as a 9-inch touchscreen head\nunit supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, a\nhead-up display, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, paddle\nshifters, and seats made of a combination of synthetic leather and\nfabric.<\/p>\n
This SUV coupe utilises a 1,500 cc K15C petrol engine paired with\nSmart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology. This mild hybrid\nsystem utilises an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and a lithium-ion\nbattery to assist fuel efficiency through acceleration assist,\nregenerative braking, and engine auto-stop features. Power is delivered\nto the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n
Regarding the chassis, the Fronx SGX Hybrid Kuro uses MacPherson\nStrut suspension at the front and a Torsion Beam at the rear. The car\nhas a ground clearance of 170 mm, supporting its SUV character for\ntraversing various road conditions.<\/p>\n
For safety, Suzuki has equipped this model with six airbags,\nAnti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD),\nBrake Assist, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Hold Control, ISOFIX,\nand a TECT body structure.
