Suyitno Landung, who<br>\nallegedly engaged in abuse of power when investigating a scandal<br>\ninvolving state-owned Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Paulus Purwoko said on<br>\nTuesday that investigators had sent their request to the Attorney<br>\nGeneral&apos;s Office (AGO), which is the body authorized to issue<br>\ntravel bans.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;It is just normal procedure in an investigation into a graft<br>\ncase,&quot; Paulus explained.<\/p>\n<p>Paulus also said that Suyitno, who is the deputy governor of<br>\nthe National Resilience Institute, is required to report to the<br>\npolice on a regular basis.<\/p>\n<p>The former chief of detectives is alleged to have accepted a<br>\ncar and cash amounting to Rp 300 million (US$30,600) from a<br>\nsuspect in the bank scam. -- JP<\/p>",
