Suspected killer arrested<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Jakarta police detectives arrested on Friday the
\nprimary suspect in the murder of Silvy Maugpin, a French national
\nwho was robbed and murdered on Monday at her residence, on Jl.
\nMadrasah II in Cilandak Timur, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
A police source identified the suspect as Budi Riyanto, who
\nwas arrested on Jl. Pangeran Antasari, South Jakarta.<\/p>\n
\"Budi is the boyfriend of one of Silvy's maidservants,
\nNursita,\" the source said.<\/p>\n
He explained that the suspect, who is in his 30s, had returned
\nafter a date with Nur and went straight to the victim's bedroom.<\/p>\n
\"Budi did not hear Silvy coming in ... Silvy was shocked when
\nshe saw him rummaging through her things. She asked him what he
\nwas doing there,\" the source said.<\/p>\n
\"And Budi says that is when he killed her.\"<\/p>\n
As reported earlier, the police were questioning four maids,
\nincluding Nursita, a security guard and a gardener over the
\nalleged murder of the foreign woman.<\/p>\n
Police identified the victim as Silvy Maugpin, 39, a mother of
\nthree.<\/p>\n
Her husband was in Singapore when the crime took place. The
\nsecurity guard and the gardener were off-duty. The maids claimed
\nto have been asleep when the crime occurred.<\/p>\n
\"We are still questioning the suspect on how he killed her.\"
