        "content": "<p>A shophouse suspected of being a \u2018Bitcoin mine\u2019 in the Tambun Selatan\narea of Bekasi Regency was raided after it was discovered stealing\nelectricity. Several items and electrical equipment were seized from the\nshophouse. \u2018PLN officers then disconnected the electricity supply and\nsecured a number of pieces of evidence, including cables and other\nequipment, to the PLN ULP Tambun office,\u2019 said Polda Metro Jaya Head of\nPublic Relations, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, on Friday\n(2\/7\/2026). From photographs received by detikcom, items such as blowers\nand CPUs were visible. Regarding these items, Senior Commissioner Budi\nHermanto stated that authorities could not yet confirm the exact\nactivities conducted inside the shophouse. \u2018It is not yet known what the\nfindings indicate,\u2019 Budi Hermanto said. The shophouse was raided on\nTuesday, 30 June 2026, following a report to PLN. A PLN meter recording\nofficer initially found suspicious electricity usage that did not comply\nwith regulations at the location. Personnel from the Polres Metro Bekasi\nSatpamobvit then escorted PLN ULP Tambun officers to the location of the\nsuspected \u2018Bitcoin mine\u2019 at Puri Cendana Housing Complex, Tambun Selatan\nDistrict, Bekasi Regency. Upon inspection, PLN officers discovered\nevidence of suspected electricity theft at the shophouse. \u2018After an\ninspection by PLN officers accompanied by police personnel, an illegal\nthree-phase electrical connection was found in the shophouse,\u2019 he\ncontinued. The discovery of the \u2018Bitcoin mine\u2019 shophouse went viral on\nsocial media. Footage circulating on social media showed the shophouse\nbeing raided. Inside the shophouse, several servers were found with the\npower still on. The temperature inside the room was reportedly extremely\nhot due to the use of 33,000 VA of power, which was allegedly\nstolen.<\/p>",
