Susilo set fir UN summit<\/p>\n

A hectic schedule awaits President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono
\nduring his week-long visit to the U.S., where he will hold 40
\nmeetings including meetings with several world leaders and top
\nbusiness executives.<\/p>\n
Susilo and his entourage left Jakarta for New York late on
\nSaturday night in his second official visit to the U.S. in the
\nlast three months that will end on Sept. 17.<\/p>\n
The highlight of his trip will be his speech at the 2005
\nUnited Nations Summit at the UN headquarters on Sept. 16, where
\nSusilo is expected to deliver a speech on Indonesia's position on
\nUN reform.<\/p>\n
Prior to the UN Summit, the President will attend the second
\nleaders summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations
\n(ASEAN) in New York.<\/p>\n
On the sidelines of the summits, Susilo, who turned 56 on
\nFriday, is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with a number of
\nworld leaders, such as Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas,
\nAustralian Prime Minister John Howard, Dutch Prime Minister Jan
\nPeter Balkenende, Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Sinawatra, British
\nPrime Minister Tony Blair, Iranian President Mahmood Ahmadinejad,
\nArgentinian President Nestor Carlos Kirchner, Malaysian Prime
\nMinister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and South African President Thabo
\nMbeki.<\/p>\n
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirajuda said earlier that
\nthe presidential office had to turn down invitations from other
\nworld leaders, who wished to hold bilateral meetings with Susilo.<\/p>\n
\"There is just not enough time,\" he said.<\/p>\n
Hassan said that the President was not scheduled to hold a
\nbilateral talk with U.S. President George Bush as they had met
\nduring Susilo's official trip to the country late in May.<\/p>\n
Hassan and Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi are among the high
\nranking government officials joining the trip.<\/p>\n
However, Susilo will receive a courtesy call from the U.S.
\nSecretary of State Condoleezza Rice.<\/p>\n
Susilo, who holds a doctorate in economics from the Bogor
\nInstitute of Agriculture, will receive an honorary doctorate in
\nlaw from Webster University. He is slated to deliver a lecture at
\nWebster University and at Columbia University.<\/p>\n
Susilo, a retired army general, will also fly to Kansas for an
\nevent at the Army College at Fort Leavenworth. The alumni of the
\ncollege is slated to receive an honorary certificate and an
\nhonorary alumnus certificate from the Army College.<\/p>\n
The President is also scheduled to visit the New York Stock
\nExchange and address a seminar organized by the Indonesian Global
\nInvestment Forum.<\/p>\n
American entrepreneurs, namely Kamie Dimon, president and CEO
\nof JP Morgan Chase, chairman and CEO of General Electric Jeffrey
\nR. Immelt, Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone and Texas Pacific
\nGroup founder and head of David Bonderman will have one-on-one
\nmeetings with Susilo.<\/p>",
