Susilo arrives in Bangkok<\/p>\n
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, accompanied by wife Kristiani
\nHerawati and a large entourage of aides and officials, arrived in
\nBangkok on Thursday for a three-day official visit at the
\ninvitation of the Thai government.<\/p>\n
The President will have an audience with the Thai king and
\nqueen at the royal palace followed by official talks with the
\nprime minister on counter-terror issues, bilateral trade, the
\nfishing industry and energy.<\/p>\n
He will also be meeting with bankers and industrialists, a
\nwell as giving an address and answering questions from members of
\nthe Thai-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce during a luncheon.<\/p>\n
Thailand's prestigious Thammasart University will confer an
\nhonorary Doctor of Philosophy in political science upon the
\npresident.<\/p>\n
Indonesia is a key member -- and most populous -- of the
\nAssociation of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the official
\ntrip by Susilo is part of the customary visits to each ASEAN
\nmember state after taking office.<\/p>\n
Susilo arrived in Bangkok from Kuala Lumpur where he attended
