        "content": "<p>According to a survey conducted by the INSA institute for the Bild\nnewspaper, nearly two-thirds of German citizens are sceptical that the\ngovernment will be able to carry out the reforms promised this year.\nBefore the Bundestag entered its summer recess in July, the German\ngovernment approved a reform package covering the taxation system,\npensions, healthcare, the labour market, and the economy. On 10 July,\nthe Bundestag passed legislation aimed at cutting healthcare expenditure\nstarting from 2027. However, the poll shows that 65 per cent of Germans\nbelieve the federal government will be unable to implement these reforms\nby 2026. Meanwhile, one-quarter of respondents believe it is possible,\nwhile 10 per cent remain uncertain. Approximately 64 per cent of\nrespondents identified the pension system as the sector most in need of\nreform, followed by the economy (63 per cent) and healthcare (62 per\ncent). The survey was conducted between 30-31 July among 1,002\nindividuals. The margin of error for the survey was not provided.<\/p>",
