Surabaya to get engineering park<\/p>\n
SURABAYA, E Java (Antara): A German company is to build an
\nindustrial service and engineering park (ISEP) on a 20-hectare
\nland at Pasuruan Industrial Estate Rembang (PIER), 60 km west of
\nhere.<\/p>\n
The plan was disclosed by six German representatives of the
\n"Ingenieuburo fur Logistichen Service" (ILS) led by Dr. Dietrich
\nLerche after a meeting with East Java Vice Governor Soeparpto
\nhere Tuesday.<\/p>\n
"They are now conducting a feasibility study expected to be
\ncompleted in May," said Soeprapto.<\/p>\n
He said the service and engineering park is aimed at giving
\nconsultations, assistance and guidance, particularly to middle-
\nand small-scale entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n
"Through it, most small-scale businessmen would be able to
\nestablish cooperation with the large-scale industries," he said.
\nAccording to him, the relationship between the small- and large-
\nscale industries would strengthen the Indonesian economic
\nstructure.<\/p>\n
He expressed the hope that the establishment of the service
\nand engineering facility would also attract more investors in
\nPIER.<\/p>",
