        "content": "<p>Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Bali has received an award from the\nBadung Regency Government. The award was given for BPD Bali\u2019s\nparticipation in the Source-Based Waste Management Programme in Badung\nto support the Clean Bali from Waste Movement. The award was presented\nby the Deputy Regent of Badung, I Bagus Alit Sucipta, during the\nCoordination and Evaluation Activity for Accelerating Source-Based Waste\nManagement in the Tourism Sector at the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Hall,\nBadung Government Centre, on Thursday (7\/5\/2026). The award was received\nby the Business Director of Bank BPD Bali, I Nyoman Sumanaya. Sumanaya\nexpressed thanks to the Badung Regency Government for the award. He\nstated that Bank BPD Bali will continue to support efforts towards a\nWaste-Free Bali. One form of support is the distribution of composter\nbins through the company\u2019s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)\nprogramme. \u201cThese composter bins were previously handed over by the\nRegent of Badung to the village heads\/sub-district heads and\nneighbourhood heads throughout North Kuta Sub-district at the North Kuta\nSub-district Office,\u201d explained Sumanaya. Sumanaya hopes that this\nassistance will encourage the community to manage waste at the source.\n\u201cAddressing the waste problem is a collective obligation, so it is hoped\nthat it will soon be resolved and completed in line with our shared\nexpectations,\u201d he added. The Regent of Badung, I Wayan Adi Arnawa,\nemphasised that organic waste must be processed independently at\nbusiness premises and not directly disposed of at the final processing\nsite (TPA). Business actors in hotels, catering, and restaurants\n(horeka) are also required to sustainably reduce the use of single-use\nplastics. The Badung Regency Government mandates that every business\nunit has a verified waste management system and routinely fills in waste\nmanagement data. The data serves as the basis for policies. \u201cThe Badung\nRegency Government will increase supervision and law enforcement.\nSanctions will be imposed on business actors who do not comply,\u201d\nstressed Adi Arnawa. \u201cIn addition to socialisation and education, we are\nalso conducting supervision in the horeka sector with assistance from\nthe Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Through today\u2019s coordination\nand evaluation, we hope there will be commitments and steps that can be\nimplemented by business actors in the tourism sector,\u201d said Adi\nArnawa.<\/p>",
