        "content": "<p>The Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme is considered to play a\nvital role in supporting the quality of future generations, according to\nGrace Natalie, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian\nSolidarity Party (PSI). She stated that this initiative demonstrates the\ngovernment\u2019s responsiveness to evaluations and public feedback.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MBG is an important programme. Criticism and suggestions must be\nheard and acted upon if they are valid. The President is setting an\nexample in that regard,\u201d Grace said on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Grace assessed that the MBG is one of the strategic programmes\ndesigned to improve the quality of Indonesia\u2019s human resources. However,\nshe emphasised that this objective can only be achieved if the programme\nis managed professionally and accountably. \u201cWe believe the Free\nNutritious Meal programme is an excellent and strategic breakthrough for\nthe nation\u2019s future. However, this grand vision will only have an\noptimal impact if managed with professionalism and accountability,\u201d she\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>President Prabowo Subianto previously appointed Nanik S. Deyang as\nthe new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), replacing Dadan\nHindayana. This change was reportedly made based on the results of\nmonitoring and evaluation regarding the programme\u2019s implementation. In\nher duties, Nanik will be accompanied by Agustina Arumsari and Trenggono\nas Deputy Heads of the BGN. Grace expressed hope that the new leadership\nwould be able to strengthen programme governance, including building\nmore effective monitoring and evaluation systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe new leadership must be able to oversee the MBG programme\nsolidly, supported by a capable monitoring and evaluation system, so\nthat the programme does not merely function, but truly provides\nsustainable benefits to the community,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>",
