        "content": "<p>PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) is accelerating the completion of the\nBulango Ulu Dam in Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province, which is\ndesignated as a National Strategic Project (PSN). Brantas Abipraya\nCorporate Secretary Dian Sovana explained that construction progress has\ncurrently reached 94.99 percent. \u2018The Bulango Ulu Dam is projected to\nbecome vital infrastructure in supporting food security, water security,\nflood control, and the provision of renewable energy in Gorontalo,\u2019 said\nDian. As the implementing contractor, Brantas Abipraya remains committed\nto completing the dam\u2019s construction in accordance with quality, safety,\nand good governance standards to support the national development agenda\nand realise food and water security. Dian emphasised that the\nconstruction of the Bulango Ulu Dam is a tangible manifestation of the\nstate-owned construction company\u2019s contribution to delivering\ninfrastructure that directly impacts community welfare. \u2018Through the\nacceleration of its completion, we hope this dam can increase\nagricultural productivity, guarantee water availability, support\nrenewable energy, and drive economic growth for the people of\nGorontalo,\u2019 Dian stated. The Bulango Ulu Dam has a storage capacity of\n140.95 million cubic metres with an effective volume of 58.61 million\ncubic metres. Once operational, the dam will irrigate approximately\n4,950 hectares of agricultural land through the Alale, Lomaya, and\nPilohayanga Irrigation Areas, thereby supporting increased productivity\nin Gorontalo\u2019s agricultural sector. Additionally, the dam will supply\n2.2 cubic metres per second of raw water for household and industrial\nneeds. Beyond supporting the food sector, the presence of the Bulango\nUlu Dam is also projected to reduce flood risk in the downstream area of\nthe Bolango River by more than 80 percent, while simultaneously\ngenerating environmentally friendly electricity through a Micro-hydro\nPower Plant (PLTMH) with a capacity of 4.96 Megawatts. The dam\u2019s\nreservoir area also has the potential to be developed into a tourist\ndestination and water sports centre that can stimulate the local\neconomy. From a technical perspective, the project is built using\nvertical core rockfill dam technology, equipped with a spillway,\ndiversion tunnel, and high-standard hydromechanical facilities. The\nconstruction innovation applied even earned a MURI Record for the\nsteepest and widest Free Over Flow Elevated spillway tunnel in\nIndonesia.<\/p>",
