        "content": "<p>Jakarta: Continuing its commitment to supporting artificial\nintelligence (AI) sovereignty since Indonesia Day held in November 2024,\nIndosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) hosted the Indonesia AI Day\nfor Mining Industry. The event served as a platform to drive the\nadoption of artificial intelligence technology in Indonesia\u2019s mining\nsector.<\/p>\n<p>Carrying the theme \u2018Navigating the Future of Indonesia\u2019s Mining\nIndustry\u2019, the event provided momentum for cross-sectoral stakeholders\nin the mining industry to explore the utilisation of AI and Internet of\nThings (IoT).<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to accelerate industry digitalisation whilst improving\nefficiency, sustainability, safety and work security, which can boost\nIndonesia\u2019s competitiveness on the global stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis initiative demonstrates the real contribution of the business\nworld in supporting national industrial transformation through\ncutting-edge technology. With the adoption of AI, Indonesia\u2019s mining\nsector can become more competitive, sustainable and economically\ninclusive,\u201d said Investment and Downstreaming Minister\/BKPM Head Rosan\nRoeslani in a written statement on Thursday, 24 April 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The event also served as a collaborative forum bringing together\nindustry leaders, policymakers and technology innovators to jointly\nformulate a comprehensive digital transformation strategy. Discussions\nfocused on how technology can serve as a catalyst for sustainable\ngrowth, strengthen industrial resilience and increase the mining\nsector\u2019s contribution to the national economy.<\/p>\n<p>President Director and Chief Executive Officer of Indosat Ooredoo\nHutchison Vikram Sinha said that as a company transforming into an AI\nTechCo, it believes the future of Indonesia\u2019s mining industry will be\nlargely determined by technology utilisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough Indonesia AI Day for Mining Industry, we want to build an\nintelligent, safe and sustainable ecosystem, and ensure this digital\ntransformation has a direct impact on equitable and inclusive economic\ngrowth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Through this initiative, Indosat is inviting all stakeholders to\nstrengthen synergies in building a resilient digital mining ecosystem.\nCross-sector collaboration, adoption of advanced technology and\ndevelopment of digital talent are expected to create a smarter, more\ninclusive and highly competitive industry future on the global\nstage.<\/p>",
