        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo reported that the\nvolume of digital payment transactions in February 2026 reached 4.67\nbillion transactions, growing 40.35 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSupported by expanded acceptance of digital payments,\u201d said Perry\nduring a teleconference on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the growth in digital economic and financial\ntransactions in February 2026 remained strong, supported by a safe,\nsmooth and reliable payment system.<\/p>\n<p>Transaction volumes through mobile applications and the internet\nrespectively grew by 9.49 per cent year-on-year and 22.16 per cent\nyear-on-year, including Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS)\ntransactions which continued to grow strongly, reaching 133.2 per cent\nyear-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis positive performance was supported by an increase in the number\nof users and merchants,\u201d said Perry.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at infrastructure, the volume of retail transactions\nprocessed through BI-FAST reached 434 million transactions, growing\n31.49 per cent year-on-year with transaction values reaching Rp1.092\ntrillion in February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the volume of large-value transactions processed through\nthe Bank Indonesia Real Time Gross Settlement (BI-RTGS) was recorded at\n0.76 million transactions, slowing 5.33 per cent year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>This occurred amid the nominal value of BI-RTGS transactions\ncontinuing to grow 9.19 per cent year-on-year, reaching Rp16.105\ntrillion in February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the perspective of rupiah management, Currency in Circulation\n(UYD) grew 15.78 per cent year-on-year to Rp1.287 trillion in February\n2026,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
