Suparwati wins Bali half marathon race<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Suparwati of Banyuwangi, East Java won the
\nwomen's half-marathon race in Sanur, Bali on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Suparwati, who comes from the East Java Indonesian Athletics
\nAmateur Association's (PASI) regional office, finished the 21
\nkilometer race with the shortest time of one hour and 24.45
\nseconds.<\/p>\n
For her victory, Suprawati received cash of Rp 500,000 and a
\nBalinese carved trophy, Antara reported.<\/p>\n
Hagiwara of Japan was in second place clocking 1.34:02 and
\nthird place went to Ni Ketut Suparni of Abiansemal, Badung with
\n1.39:02. Fourth and fifth places went to Yanagido of Japan with a
\ntime of 1.40.30 and Ni Ketut Parni of Bali with 1.40:36.<\/p>\n
In the Fun Run five kilometer race, Japan won the top three
\nplaces with Furkawa (20.22), Shoki (21.20) and T. Miyaba (22.04).<\/p>\n
In the women's 10 kilometer marathon, Sumiati of East Java
\ntook first place clocking 39.57. Yuliawati was in second with a
\ntime of 41.49 and Lisa Hari Agustini of Jember in third with
\n43.18.<\/p>\n
Two Balinese runners won first and second places in the 10
\nkilometer men's marathon with Ano with the quickest time of 29.12
\nand Jentus at 29.14. Ali Takir of East Java came in third with
\n32.36 and Made Anggara of Bali of 32.48.<\/p>\n
About 719 runners participated in the Bali marathon -- 563
\nfrom Indonesia and 156 from Japan. (lnt)<\/p>",
