Supadio International Airport\nmanagement in West Kalimantan has affirmed its commitment to maintaining\na clean and professional work environment following allegations of an\nAviation Security (AVSEC) staff member\u2019s involvement in a smuggling case\nin 2026. Maya Damayanti, General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia\u2019s\nSupadio International Airport, said in Sungai Raya on Saturday that the\ncompany had taken decisive action by terminating the employment of the\noutsourced staff member involved. \u2018We have taken firm action against one\noutsourced staff member involved in a smuggling case uncovered by the\nEast Kalimantan Police. The decisive measure is termination of\nemployment via repatriation to the original agency on 16 April 2026,\u2019\nMaya said. She stressed that management fully supports the investigation\nconducted by the East Kalimantan Police and has handed over case\nhandling to law enforcement authorities. According to Maya, preliminary\ninvestigations confirmed no other personnel at Supadio Airport, whether\npermanent employees or outsourced staff, were involved. \u2018Following the\ninvestigation, it has been confirmed that no other employees at Supadio\nAirport were involved in the case,\u2019 she added. Supadio Airport\nmanagement also stated it will not tolerate any legal violations that\ncould compromise the safety and public trust in air transport services.\n\u2018We deeply regret this incident.
