        "content": "<p>The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Jakarta Metropolitan\nPolice has opened two mobile SIM service locations for residents wishing\nto renew the validity period of their driving licences in Jakarta on\nSunday.<\/p>\n<p>The mobile SIM service provided by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police\nTraffic Directorate is an effort to make it easier for the public to\nmanage or complete one of the requirements for driving.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Instagram account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"tmcpoldametro\">@tmcpoldametro<\/span>, it was announced that\nthe service is open from 07.00 to 12.00 Western Indonesia Time.<\/p>\n<p>The locations are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Mas Intan, next to McDonald\u2019s, Duren\nSawit.<\/p>\n<p>West Jakarta: Jalan Panjang, next to Indomaret, Kebon Jeruk.<\/p>\n<p>The requirements are a photocopy of a valid identity card (KTP), the\noriginal physical old driving licence and a photocopy, proof of a health\ncheck, and proof of a psychological test.<\/p>\n<p>This mobile SIM car service can only renew driving licences that are\nstill valid for certain categories, namely Class A and Class C\nlicences.<\/p>\n<p>The service only handles renewals of Class A and Class C licences\nthat are still valid, while holders of licences whose validity period\nhas expired must apply for a new licence at the Daan Mogot SIM service\ncentre in West Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The validity period of a driving licence is now calculated as five\nyears from the date of issue and no longer follows the holder\u2019s date of\nbirth.<\/p>\n<p>This policy ensures that the expiry date of a driving licence is\ndetermined based on the time of issue, not the applicant\u2019s date of\nbirth.<\/p>\n<p>The renewal fee, in accordance with Government Regulation No.\u00a076 of\n2020 on the Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the\nIndonesian National Police, is Rp80,000 for a Class A licence renewal\nand Rp75,000 for a Class C licence renewal.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these fees, applicants must also pay other additional\ncosts, including a psychological test fee of Rp100,000 and a health test\nfee of Rp50,000.<\/p>\n<p>For information, motorists who cannot show a valid driving licence\nwill be subject to sanctions in accordance with Article 288 paragraph 2\nof Law No.\u00a022 of 2009 on Road Traffic and Transport.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum sanction that can be imposed is imprisonment for up to\none month or a fine of up to Rp250,000.<\/p>",
