President Prabowo Subianto received Minister of Investment and\nDownstreaming\/Head of BKPM, who also serves as Head of BPI Danantara,\nRosan Perkasa Roeslani, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, 6\nAugust 2026. In his remarks after the meeting, Rosan reported on the\nresults of his visit to Saudi Arabia and discussions regarding\nstrengthening the performance of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first programme concerns the development, planning and\nconstruction (of Kampung Haji) in the holy land of Mecca. We are\ncurrently in the process of selecting the architect and the illustration\nof what it will look like. The President requested an update, and we\nhave provided it. I have also just returned from Mecca, Medina, and\nJeddah, coinciding with cooperation with the Ministry of Investment\nthere,\u201d Rosan stated.<\/p>\n
He further explained the President\u2019s directive to simplify the\norganisational structure of SOEs. Rosan noted that this measure is aimed\nat reducing bureaucratic layers so that the decision-making process can\nbe accelerated. \u201cHis directives also include reducing layers, especially\nin large SOEs such as Pertamina, PLN, and others, so that\ndecision-making becomes faster, productivity increases, and efficiency\nis better maintained, as well as in other SOEs,\u201d Rosan added.<\/p>\n
