        "content": "<p>PT PLN (Persero) announced that Sumatra\u2019s power system has fully\nrecovered following a disruption in the interconnection transmission\nnetwork. By 6:00 AM WIB on Sunday (24 May), 176 affected substations had\nbeen restored by field staff.<\/p>\n<p>PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo stated that restoration\nefforts were intensively carried out since the initial disruption was\ndetected on Friday (22 May). The process was phased, starting from power\ngeneration systems, transmission networks, to household\ndistribution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThankfully, thanks to the relentless efforts of all field personnel\nand support from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and local\nauthorities, Sumatra\u2019s power system has now returned to normal. Affected\ncustomers are gradually regaining power supply,\u201d Darmawan said while\ninspecting the PLTU Tenayan operations in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Sunday (24\nMay).<\/p>\n<p>Darmawan explained that safety and system reliability were the top\npriorities during restoration. After reconnecting the main transmission\nnetwork, PLN synchronised power from various plants back into Sumatra\u2019s\ntransmission system.<\/p>\n<p>PLN management expressed appreciation to the public for their\npatience during the repair period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank the public for their patience and support throughout the\nrestoration process,\u201d Darmawan concluded.<\/p>\n<p>This achievement reflects the company\u2019s capability in delivering\ninnovations focused on safety and reliability of the power system.<\/p>",
