The former Coordinator for Institutional Development and K3\nPersonnel, Irvian Bobby Mahendro, alias \u201cSultan Kemnaker\u201d, faces a\nsix-year prison sentence regarding allegations of extortion and\ngratification related to the management of Occupational Health and\nSafety (K3) certifications. The Public Prosecutor believes that Bobby is\nproven guilty of committing criminal acts of extortion and receiving\ngratifications in this case.<\/p>\n
\u201cSentencing the defendant, Irvian Bobby Mahendro, to six years of\nimprisonment,\u201d stated the prosecutor during the sentencing hearing on\nMonday (18\/05\/2026).<\/p>\n
In addition to the prison term, the prosecutor is also demanding a\nfine of Rp 250 million, or a substitute of 90 days of imprisonment.\nFurthermore, the prosecutor has requested an additional penalty for the\ndefendant to pay restitution amounting to Rp 60,329,415,416.<\/p>\n
In their considerations, the prosecutors noted that the defendants\u2019\nactions do not support the government\u2019s programme to achieve a\ngovernance free from the practices of collusion, corruption, and\nnepotism. Conversely, mitigating factors include the fact that the\ndefendants have no prior criminal record, have family responsibilities,\nand have maintained polite and respectful behaviour during the\ntrial.<\/p>\n
Previously, in the prosecution\u2019s indictment, Noel and several\nofficials from the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker) were alleged to have\nreceived billions of rupiah through extortion practices targeting K3\ncertification and licence applicants. The prosecutor stated that these\nactions were carried out by Noel alongside other defendants, including\nFahrurozi, Hery Sutanto, Subhan, Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra, Irvian\nBobby Mahendro, Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Anitasari Kusumawati, Supriadi,\nMiki Mahfud, and Termurila.<\/p>\n
