        "content": "<p>Makassar (ANTARA) - The South Sulawesi Education Office (Disdik\nSulsel) is collaborating with districts and cities in the province to\nstrengthen the implementation of restrictions on gadget or social media\nuse for students.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Disdik Sulsel, Iqbal Nadjamuddin, in Makassar on Sunday,\nstated that their authority applies only to upper secondary level\nschools such as SMA\/SMK equivalents, while early childhood education,\nkindergartens, primary schools, and junior secondary schools are under\nthe supervision of district and city education offices.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that districts and cities are certainly aware of the\nregulations, particularly the implementation of Government Regulation\nNo.\u00a017 of 2025 on the Governance of Electronic Systems in Child\nProtection (PP Tunas) to safeguard children\u2019s futures.<\/p>\n<p>He acknowledged that several districts and cities have already begun\nimplementing it in their respective areas.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, according to him, unsupervised social media use has the\npotential to disrupt learning culture and affect child development, so\nit must be promptly addressed by every school.<\/p>\n<p>He instructed all SMA\/SMK equivalents in Sulsel to prepare standard\noperating procedures (SOP) regarding the implementation of gadget or\nsocial media (Medsos) restrictions for students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s already running in districts and cities, and we invite\nthem to support and ensure the success of this government programme,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>",
