BANDUNG: The rebuttal of founding president Sukarno when he
\nwas a youth movement leader in a 1931 court during Dutch
\ncolonialism has been translated into English by the Oxford
\nUniversity in England, former foreign minister Roeslan Abdulgani
\nsaid here on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Roeslan, who is also former president Soeharto's adviser for
\nstate ideology, unveiled the news after a ceremony to commemorate
\nthe 45th anniversary of the Asia Africa Conference.<\/p>\n
"The translated edition suggests that anyone who wants to know
\nabout Asia nationalism read the book," Roeslan said of the text
\nwhich was previously published under the title Indonesia
\nMenggugat (Indonesia Stakes Claims).<\/p>\n
Sukarno was brought to court by the Dutch colonial government
\nbecause of his teaching, Marhaenism, and his Indonesian
\nNationalist Party (PNI), his vehicle to promote the idea of
\nIndonesia's independence.<\/p>\n
Also in the book, according to Roeslan, the country's first
\npresident spread the spirit of Bandung to nations in Asia and
