        "content": "<p>Sukanto joins Sarana Riau<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): The chairman of the widely diversified group<br>\nRaja Garuda Mas, Sukanto Tanoto, will become one of the major<br>\nshareholders in Sarana Riau Ventura, the newly established<br>\nventure capital company in Riau province.<\/p>\n<p>P. Daritan, a director of the publicly-listed PT Into<br>\nIndorayon which also runs a large pulp and paper industry in<br>\nRiau, said that Sukanto will inject funds into the venture<br>\ncapital company, which was officially inaugurated by Minister of<br>\nFinance Mar'ie Muhammad last week.<\/p>\n<p>However, he did not disclose the amount of the funds to be<br>\ninvested by Sukanto in the company, the 20th venture capital<br>\ncompany in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The new company, established by the state-owned venture<br>\ncapital company Bahana Artha Ventura in cooperation with local<br>\nbusinesses, has an initial paid-up capital of Rp 5.3 billion<br>\n(US$2.3 million).
