As described in the 100-day program announced the tourism
\nminister, the important part of the plan to boost the inflow of
\nforeign tourists is security, which will be maintained in
\ncoordination with all levels of the government's security

\ninfrastructure needs to be improved and\/or built and tourist
\ndestinations should be further diversified. Potential regions are
\non Komodo island (to see the Komodo Dragon), and other places
\nwhere tourists can see orangutans, go diving, experience all the
\nmarine beauty in Sulawesi, travel on the lakes in Sumatra and
\nview historic relics throughout Java and Bali.<\/p>\n
It is also essential to combine the appealing spots with local
\nculture and performing arts so that they become interesting
\npackages never to be forgotten by tourists. A good example is
\nVilla Escudero outside of Manila. The Filipinos offer a package
\nthat includes history, arts, traditions, natural beauty and
\nhospitality.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the image of a region should come first, though
\ntargets of foreign tourists can also be set. It is also extremely
\nuseful to cooperate with domestic and international travel agents
\nso that visitors will come from various countries, instead of
\nfocusing on one or two only.<\/p>\n
