Suggestions for the govt<\/p>\n

As I love this country, I think it is appropriate for me in
\nthis era of reform to give the following suggestions and input to
\nthe government and other interested parties:<\/p>\n
1. The law in this republic must be enforced, with all parties
\nobeying it. All law enforcement personnel must be proud of and
\nsatisfied with the trust and compensation given by the state.<\/p>\n
In this way they will be able to carry out their assignments
\nwillingly and avoid corruption, collusion, nepotism and legal
\nfabrication to further their personal interests and those of
\ntheir groups as such practices are very harmful to the nation.<\/p>\n
2. The appointment of Armed Forces members to political
\npositions must be simplified. For example only veterans should,
\nfor example, become governors and regents. It must be borne in
\nmind that the discipline required in the armed forces differs
\nfrom that needed in civilian life.<\/p>\n
3. In terms of political organizations, government officials
\nlike the president, governors and so on should take a neutral
\nstance. In this way the disparity among political organizations
\nthat was obvious during the New Order era can be avoided.<\/p>\n
4. In the present era of reform, serving and former government
\nofficials should realize that, unlike in the New Order era, they
\nmust pass on their positions to the younger generation.<\/p>\n
Those who failed to do so during the New Order era should now
\nrepent and with all good intention help put this country and this
\nnation in order. Let us all make ours a just and prosperous
\ncountry and let us make ourselves suitable hosts in our own
\ncountry.<\/p>\n
