Lately Garuda Indonesia has been intensifying its efforts to
\npromote the quality of its services. Allow me to give some
\nsuggestions in connection with this effort.<\/p>\n
Some time ago, every Sunday there was a flight to Medan, using
\na DC-10 aircraft. Now this flight is no longer available. In my
\nopinion, this flight must be resumed in view of the popularity of
\nwide-bodied aircraft among passengers.<\/p>\n
Garuda may adopt a service system employed by a number of
\nairlines in the United States. Under this system, a passenger
\nusing the service of a certain airline will be given a free
\nticket for a particular route if he has reached a certain
\nmileage. In some cases, there is a family system ticket.<\/p>\n
Another thing that deserves attention is the case of no-show:
\nIf the ticket is used on a later date there is a 25 percent
\ncharge or a 25 percent cut if the ticket is refunded. This is too
\nmuch. What is of greater absurdity is that the notification of
\ncancellation must be given at least 24 hours prior to departure.
\nThese two things must be re-assessed carefully. There is one more
\nthing. Senior citizens must be allowed a discount not only for
\nthe economy class but for all classes available.<\/p>\n
