        "content": "<p>Students to start rural internship<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): One hundred forty students from three<br>\nprestigious state universities will descend on the tiny districts<br>\nof Jonggol and Cariu in Bogor today to start a rural internship<br>\nprogram, the University of Indonesia (UI) announced yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The main theme of the program, known by the Indonesian<br>\nacronyms KKN, is to help prepare villagers for environmentally<br>\nfriendly development, the university said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Taking part are students from UI, the Bogor Institute of<br>\nAgriculture and the Bandung Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Transmigration Siswono Yudohusodo will attend the<br>\nsend-off ceremony at the University of Indonesia campus in Depok,<br>\nsouth of here. Rector M.K. Tadjuddin will head the ceremony and<br>\nwill present the students to Bogor Regent Eddy Yoso Martadipura.<\/p>\n<p>The 140 students are divided into two groups.<\/p>\n<p>The first, with 60 participants, comprises students from the<br>\nthree universities under a three-year integrated KKN program. The<br>\nother is made up entirely of UI students.<\/p>\n<p>Siswono will also inaugurate a green house and an herbal plant<br>\nresearch center, both of which are expected to support the<br>\nstudents&apos; rural internship program.
