        "content": "<p>Students' struggle for reforms<\/p>\n<p>From Merdeka<\/p>\n<p>Statements made by some officials that the students' struggle<br>\nfor reforms did not represent the voice of the people are naive<br>\nand a priori in nature.<\/p>\n<p>As a demonstrator of the 1966 generation, I have the moral<br>\nobligation to join in speaking out that the present students'<br>\nstruggle is directly or indirectly a manifestation of the<br>\npeople's sufferings, which have resulted from the government's<br>\npolicies which were not oriented to the people's concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Such statements (by officials) are fitting for those people<br>\n(certain officials, business tycoons, etc.) who have lived an<br>\naffluent life. These people are almost certainly not supporting<br>\nstudents' demands for economic and political reforms.
