Students stage rally at campus<\/p>\n
BOGOR (JP): Dozens of Juanda University students staged a
\nrally at their campus on Thursday to demand Bogor police end
\ntheir investigation of students suspected of killing an
\nintelligence officer during a clash between protesters and police
\nin May.<\/p>\n
However they stopped their action immediately after being
\nassured by their rector, Abdi Soetisna, that police have given a
\nverbal assurance that the cases will be dropped. He also said
\nthat the suspects -- T.B. Ade, Emon Mulyadi and Syaefulloh --
\nhave had their full rights restored. All spent several weeks in
\npolice custody after the ill-fated protest in May.<\/p>\n
Police accused the students of killing Second Lt. Dadang
\nRusmana during a mob attack. The dead officer was the chief of
\nthe Bogor police detectives unit.<\/p>\n
Police believed the detective died of wounds sustained during
\nthe mobbing, but Yuli Budiningsih, a PMI hospital forensics
\nexpert who carried out a postmortem examination on the victim,
