I would like to have the attention of the authorities in
\nJakarta for the safety of high school students going to and from
\nschool. I think my feelings are shared by the majority of
\nstudents' parents in the capital city. Student brawls occur
\nnearly everyday and have claimed a lot of victims. Student
\nbehavior is becoming excessively violent.<\/p>\n
Until today we have never seen a definite solution to the
\nproblem. The irony is that innocent students often become victims
\nof the fights. As a parent of schoolchildren I wish that the
\neradication of student delinquency would become one of the basic
\nagendas of the Jakarta Administration in making Jakarta one of
\nthe safest cities in the world.<\/p>\n
We are aware that Jakarta's new governor and military district
\ncommander have already taken steps to make Jakarta a better place
\nto live in. With the support of the community the efforts will
\nhopefully expand to other sectors.<\/p>\n
