        "content": "<p>Students hit by crisis<\/p>\n<p>YOGYAKARTA: Some 4,000 Gadjah Mada University students may<br>\nhave to take a vacation from their studies because of financial<br>\ndifficulties, its rector, Ichlasul Amal, said here Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Amal was quoted by Antara as saying that 460 students have<br>\nalready told the university they could not afford to pay their<br>\ntuition.<\/p>\n<p>Amal said after receiving scholarships for 15 students from<br>\nKyoto Prefecture, Japan, that the university was trying to help<br>\nthe students overcome their financial problems. One way was<br>\nthrough scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>The university has given scholarships to 350 students, while<br>\n2,000 others have received scholarships from various<br>\ninstitutions, Amal said.<\/p>\n<p>The 15 Gadjah Mada University students receiving the<br>\nscholarships from Japan will get Rp 100,000 per month for one<br>\nyear.<\/p>",
