Students arrested for alleged rape<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Police have arrested six students for the
\nalleged rape of a classmate, an officer said Saturday.<\/p>\n
An officer of the Tambora Police sub-precinct, West Jakarta,
\nsaid that the six were identified only as Ad, Bd, Al, Lo, Fr and
\nDn, while the victim was identified as Ia. She is 16 years old.<\/p>\n
The alleged rapists and the victim are students of a private
\nsenior high school in the area.<\/p>\n
The officer, who asked not to be named, said that on Wednesday
\nLo asked Ia and the five youths to come to his house in Tambora,
\nwhere they all ingested barbiturates. Ia reportedly lost
\nconsciousness before the rape.<\/p>\n
On the following day, Ia told her parents what had happened to
\nher. Her parents then reported the incident to police.<\/p>\n
To date, only one of the suspects has confessed to the
\noffense, the officer said. "But we believe that all of them were
\ninvolved in the rape."<\/p>\n
Intensive questioning is still underway and the police are
\nwaiting for the medical report on the victim. (29)<\/p>",
