Student reports rape<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A 17-year-old senior high school student
\nwas reportedly raped by a male companion in a hotel on Jl.
\nPercetakan Negara, Central Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Jul reported the rape to the Central Jakarta Police Tuesday,
\nsaying the man, identified only as An, had given her an alcoholic
\ndrink before raping her.<\/p>\n
She did not reveal whether the man, whom she met hours before,
\nhad forced her to drink the liquor.<\/p>\n
She said she met the man at a friend's house on Jl. Cempaka
\nPutih, Central Jakarta. The man then offered to take her home, to
\nwhich she agreed.<\/p>\n
"The man stopped the car at Dewi Hotel on Jl. Percetakan
\nNegara, instead of heading for her home on Jl. Kramat," an
\nofficer, who asked for anonymity, said.<\/p>\n
The man said he wanted to meet a friend at the hotel, and
\nsuggested they both wait in a hotel room.<\/p>\n
The alleged rapist gave her an alcoholic drink after which she
\nreportedly fell unconscious.<\/p>\n
"The girl woke up the following morning and realized she had
\nbeen raped. The man had gone," he said.<\/p>\n
The officer said the report was possibly false. "It was
\nprobably mutual consent, not rape." (jun)<\/p>",
