        "content": "<p>Sahid Al Hudri (13) remains terrified every time he sees fire after\nallegedly being set ablaze by a peer at the Rosudatussaulatiyah Al\nIbrahimy Islamic Boarding School in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.\nAlthough he is suffering from trauma and insomnia, Al expressed his\ndetermination to return to school alongside his peers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy parents at home are also afraid to use a lighter because I\nscreamed in terror at the time,\u201d Al told reporters at his home on\nSaturday (6\/6\/2026). Al admitted that the memory of being trapped within\nthe flames remains vivid, causing him significant difficulty\nsleeping.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the incident, Al sustained burns to his thighs,\ncalves, legs, abdomen, face, and hands. He is currently bedridden,\nwatching his friends return to their daily activities. \u201cIt is sad,\nespecially seeing my friends go to school. I want to go back to school\ntoo,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his academic aspirations, Al expressed concern about becoming\na victim of bullying due to the physical scarring caused by the burns.\n\u201cIf I return to school, will I be bullied? If not, I want to go back, so\nI can be like my friends,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u2019s aunt, Nurul Hidayah, stated that her nephew is scheduled to\nundergo skin surgery at the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial General\nHospital (RSUD). Doctors have also recommended the insertion of a pin in\nhis wrist to restore movement. \u201cWe do not know when it will happen. The\ndoctor said a pin is needed so his hand can move again, as he is\ncurrently too weak to hold anything,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Nurul urged the police to investigate the case immediately to ensure\nthat those responsible are held accountable for Al\u2019s medical costs.\n\u201cThere must be accountability so that his treatment can proceed and he\ncan fully recover,\u201d she emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>The alleged burning of three students at the boarding school in\nBatukliang came to light after a video of the victim went viral on\nsocial media. The footage, shared via a Facebook account, shows the\nvictim crying in pain while displaying bandaged burns. The post has\ngarnered 65,000 views and hundreds of comments.<\/p>\n<p>The case has been officially reported to the Central Lombok Police by\none of the victims\u2019 parents, who claim that both the boarding school\nmanagement and the alleged perpetrator have failed to take\nresponsibility for the incident.<\/p>",
