"content": "<p>The fire at the Jatiwaringin Final Processing Site (TPA) in Mauk\nDistrict, Tangerang Regency, Banten, remains unextinguished, with\nofficials reporting strengthening winds on Friday afternoon. A call centre\nofficer from the BPBD and Fire Department stated that while the number\nof active fire spots has decreased compared to previous days, the\nextinguishing process is still ongoing. Today, 11 to 12 fire engines are on site,\nand helicopters are expected to continue water-bombing operations. An\ninitial assessment recorded that 30 families, comprising 57 individuals,\nhave been affected by the disaster. Heavy equipment, including\nbulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, and dump trucks, has also been\ndeployed to assist in controlling the fire.<\/p>\n<p>The Tangerang Regency Government has declared a state of emergency\nfor the Jatiwaringin landfill fire through Regent\u2019s Decree Number 609 of\n2026, effective from 1 to 14 July 2026.
