        "content": "<p>'Streetcar' performance<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): American playwright Tennessee Williams' renowned<br>\nplay A Streetcar named Desire will be performed for the first time<br>\nhere under the name of Pusaran by Teater Lembaga.<\/p>\n<p>The play, to be held April 14 to 16 in the Teater Tertutup at<br>\nTaman Ismail Marzuki, on Jl. Cikini Raya, Central Jakarta, will<br>\nbe in Bahasa Indonesia as translated by poet Toto Sudarto<br>\nBakhtiar.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph Ginting will direct Pusaran, which will be performed<br>\nby students at Jakarta's Arts Institute (IKJ). Teater Lembaga,<br>\nestablished in 1975 by Indonesia's leading artists Pramana<br>\nP.M.D., Tatiek Maliyati W.S., and the late Wahyu Sihombing and<br>\nD.Djajakusuma, is IKJ's formal theater group where students of<br>\nthe institute can practise their skills and talents.<\/p>\n<p>The group has previously performed about 18 plays, including<br>\nSamuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot, Arthur Miller's Death of a<br>\nSalesman and Hendrik Ibsen's Wild Duck.
