        "content": "<p>Street vendors registered<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): A combined team from South Jakarta's security<br>\nand order office succeeded on Tuesday in registering about 900<br>\nstreet vendors, who trade near markets located in and around<br>\nKebayoran Lama.<\/p>\n<p>\"They have registered with the local district office. They<br>\nwill now be allowed to trade at various markets in South<br>\nJakarta,\" team leader Rustam Effendy said, Antara reported.<\/p>\n<p>Kebayoran Lama district chief H.Andy Tahrim said that the main<br>\nobjective of the registration was to know the exact number of<br>\ntraders selling their goods near Kebayoran Lama market places.<\/p>\n<p>He estimated that of the number registered only 200 were<br>\nresidents of Jakarta. \"The others come from other regions,\" he<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>At present there are 27 traditional markets in South Jakarta,<br>\nwith only four located in Kebayoran Lama.
